About Dr. Ko:

Dr. Edalyn Ko is an experienced podiatric physician and surgeon committed to providing foot and ankle care to patients of all ages. With a dedication to excellence and a passion for helping others lead healthy, active lives, Dr. Ko combines expertise, compassion, and advanced techniques to deliver personalized treatment solutions.

Early Life and Education:

Dr. Edalyn Ko was raised in Portland, Oregon and considers the Pacific Northwest her home. She earned her bachelor's degree from the University of Portland in Biology with a minor in Chemistry. Driven by her desire to make a meaningful impact in healthcare, Dr. Ko pursued her Doctor of Podiatric Medicine degree with unwavering determination. She completed her medical training at the California College of Podiatric Medicine in San Francisco. She then went on to complete her surgical residency at Phoenix Baptist Hospital in Arizona. After graduation, she briefly entered private practice before joining the VA in Alabama. During this time, she also served as a Clinical Professor to her alma mater medical school where she taught students and residents.

Professional Career:

Dr. Ko devoted her time to caring for our nation’s Veterans, Active Duty Soldiers, and their dependents. She began her career in public service in Alabama at a facility that included the Montgomery Veterans Hospital, Tuskegee Veterans Hospital, and Maxwell Air Force Base. She also served as the Assistant Director of Podiatry, Externship Director, and Acting Chief of Podiatry.

In 2007 she returned to the Pacific Northwest and transferred to the Roseburg Veterans Health Care Center and later to the Eugene Health Care Center. She actively participated in the PAVE (Prevention of Amputations of Veterans Everywhere) Committee and later served as Co-Chairman.  She also served as the CPRC/Medical Equipment Service Chief and Lead Surgeon for the Eugene Surgical Clinic.

Mission and Vision:

Dr. Ko practices general podiatry, forefoot surgery with a focus on wound care and prevention of amputations, and sports medicine. She is looking forward to starting this new chapter in life and serving the Eugene and surrounding communities in a private practice setting.

In her spare time she enjoys spending time with her three children and watching them play basketball and baseball in addition to exploring the beautiful Pacific Northwest, crabbing along the Oregon Coast, and gardening.
